Transfer Team
The Transfer Team coordinates and executes events for new transfer students throughout the year. The primary goal of the Transfer Team is to meet the needs of new transfer students and ensure that they are welcomed and empowered during their transition to the University of Oregon. The team consists of current transfer students, all of whom have a passion for encouraging, supporting, and inspiring new and future transfer students.
Applications for the 2025 team are open. Although our application form remains open year-round, the deadline to apply for the 2025 team is Monday, January 13, 2025, at noon.
Student Orientation Staff
Student Orientation Staff (SOSers) serve as official hosts to new students and their families during IntroDUCKtion sessions. Their primary goal is to introduce new students and their families to the resources that help create smooth transitions to the university. SOSers work as a team, focused on small group facilitation. Student Operations and Administrative Resources (SOAR) Team
SOAR provides a welcoming experience for campus visitors and guests by creating memorable interactions and moments in the Student Welcome Center and during Student Orientation Program events. SOAR supports all logistics and operations of the department, including administrative functions, such as phone calls, emails, and text messages.
Although the application form remains open year-round, the deadline to apply for the next hiring cycle will be in fall term 2024.
New Student Experience and Activities Team
The New Student Experience and Activities Team (NSEAT) plays a key role in the overall operations and success of the IntroDUCKtion new student orientation experience. In this role, staff will be responsible for aspects of the on-campus housing experience while incoming students are participating in orientation. Housing is provided for this position from June through August.

Student Ambassadors and Multicultural Recruiter-Ambassadors (MCRs)
The Ambassador Program is the University of Oregon's primary student recruitment team. Ambassadors conduct tours and other recruitment activities for prospective University of Oregon students. Ambassadors are often the first contact prospective students and their families have with the UO.
Although the application form remains open year-round, the deadline to apply for the next hiring cycle will be in May 2025.
